Case Study
Oxford House
LWDA created a bespoke multi-page WordPress site for Oxford House, to reinvigorate the online presence for this arts & community centre in Bethnal Green, London.
Oxford House Website Design Brief
THE
CHALLENGE
The old website had become tired and dated in terms of its layout. Looking cramped and blocky, with both text & image fighting for the users’ attention on every page.
The brand had also evolved, becoming warmer, friendlier and slightly more modern in its approach to typography. The website needed to support the new brand and connect to the local community in Bethnal Green.
bespoke WordPress website design
Simplifying the page layout and stripping-out non-essential content meant that we were able to produce a design that felt lighter and more open with plenty of white space to allow each element to breathe.
The client can now promote events that are both free and paid-for, with the ability to link to off-site ticket agents.
Adding event-specific information, image galleries and YouTube videos to each listing gave visitors the encouragement they need to place a booking.
Local arts and community centres are always challenging the local government for funding for a project such as this.
Our solution met the current budget but give the flexibility to add more content areas in the future, such as News and Streaming Events. Both arriving in 2021.
If you run local arts or community centre and are looking to revamp your site, feel free to get in touch. We’ll be happy to talk you through our processes and suggest a great solution for your requirements.
